About Us
Continuing the Tradition of Homeschool Baseball
Our Story
The Austin Texans Baseball team was founded by a group of dads who desired a more inclusive homeschool baseball program. After their boys graduated, in 2021, they passed the torch to a new group of parents who shared the same vision. This group started the Texans Homeschool Athletic Foundation, an organization that is committed to providing a faith-based homeschool baseball program to the Austin community.
Our Mission
The Texans strive to offer a robust baseball experience to players that need athletic opportunities outside the customary high school setting. Traditional homeschooled families are the core of our mission and comprise the majority of our rosters. The Texans provide a variety of practice and game opportunities in preparation for the annual Homeschool World Series in Florida.
In addition to homeschooled players, the Texans endeavor to provide competitive options for students in academic settings that do not allow for the opportunity to play high school baseball. These students are allowed to practice and participate in games for their personal development, but these players are not eligible for the official homeschool tournament. The primary goal of the Texans is to provide an opportunity to disciple young men and provide an outlet for developing advanced baseball skills. Learn more here.
